Retractable Awning Problems: Find Your Symptom, Cause and Fix

Most retractable awning problems fall into four groups: fabric (sagging, wrinkles, uneven rolling), arms and frame (arms that will not close, bent arms, loose brackets), drive (crank gearbox or motor) and controls (remote, switch, sensors). Check the cheap, reversible causes first: power, remote battery, pitch, level and debris.
